"My three kids, ages 8, 6, and 4, had a fantastic time during their "Playing Goddess Athena" activity. The activities were both engaging and educational. My kids loved it and name it as one of the highlights of our 2+ weeks in Greece. I brought a book and my husband went off to see more historical sites that wouldn't interest the children. "Our guide was excellent, very kind, informative and tailored our tour to the ages and experience of our group. It was a long tour, with a break for lunch, which was at the right time in the tour. He also made the museum tour interactive with truth and dare, which was fun for the teens. I highly recommend Alternative Athens. "Our family of four had a great time with our amazing host Lena, who hosted us in her home and taught us how to make the best Baklava I ever tasted. She was kind and patient with the kids, who enjoyed making the Baklava by themselves with some guidance from our host. While we waited for the Baklava to bake we were provided with a snack of cheese sandwiches and cookies. Also, we sampled 3 local teas and learned about their healing attributes. We really enjoyed our conversation with Lena and hearing the thoughts of local people. Lena provided us with resources for making traditional Greek cuisine that we could use at home. We really had a great experience."
