  • visiting places where the Athenians eat, shop and have fun,
  • exploring new, emerging locations you won't find in travel guides,
  • creating travel memories and friendships that last for a lifetime.

What’s more, you’ll see Athens as we see it – through the eyes of a local. We base all our Athens tours on experiences, not just passive sightseeing and tourist stereotypes. Top five known and …unknown reasons to go on a trip to Athens

1) The Acropolis and… a different view of the Acropolis

One of the most wonderful and recognizable monuments of the world, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, visited by millions of tourists every year. What is equally marvelous is the view of the Acropolis at night from one of Athens’ wonderful rooftop bars: Try 360, A for Athens or Couleur Locale for one of the most stunning views of your life!

2) The Ancient Agora & the Flea Market …and the secret gardens of Monastiraki

Once the heart of the Athenian democracy, the Ancient Agora still features one of the best preserved temples of Antiquity. Next to it, the Monastiraki flea market is a trip back in Ottoman times. But few wander off the touristy shopping streets to explore what hides in its alleys: the amazing courtyard and art space of TAF, the shady garden of 6 D.O.G.S. and the unexpected terrace of Vrysaki. Look for these quirky Athenian cafés!

3) The Nightlife and… the after-hours of the Nightlife

Whether you’re jamming to the alternative bars in Gazi, Agia Irini’s Square and Kerameikos or singing ‘opa!’ and throwing flowers on the tables at live clubs - aka the famous bouzoukia - the Athenians know how to party like no one else. However nightlife in Athens starts late and ends even later! For a genuine taste of Athenian nightlife, don't go out before 11pm and prepare to return in the early morning hours!

4) The Αcropolis Museum and…what hides behind it

Regularly ranked among the top 10 Museums in the World, the Acropolis Museum is not to be missed. But few visit the neighborhood of Koukaki, right behind it. Take some time to explore it and find amazing little shops, cool bistros and excellent cafés, just 10’ away from the flocks of tourists.

5) The Weather... all year round

Yes, everyone raves about the glorious Greek summer! But Athens is blessed with exceptional weather all year round, and it prides itself in having the mildest winter in Europe: did you know that in December Athens has the highest average temperature in Europe (a mild 12ºC/54ºF) and is a European sunlight champion? Plus, you can enjoy the city with a lot less tourists and at cheaper prices during winter time! Athens is the perfect all year-round destination.
